Working in Bratislava most probably means that you need a place to sleep. The post Looking for accommodation in Bratislava was already touching the subject but I realized that not everybody has a partner who speaks the language like I did. It might help to start differently.
I noticed that many new foreigners try social media and in particular Facebook.
Foreigners in Bratislava group is one of the biggest group in Bratislava. The type of the information published there by the members is very diverse. The comments are also moving very fast so if you addressed a question you might not get an answer. Especially if it was already addressed.
It sounds maybe boring but not many are using the search option in the groups. The answer might be already there.

In these groups the main language is English . In many cases even the owner speaks English. You have many chances of finding a room in a flat with other foreigners.

I start working in Bratislava – extra furniture
You just moved in and chances are the flat is furnished although there are also exceptions. But in Bratislava the flats are rented furnished in most of the cases. Whereas in Prague for example the flats are rented empty. In Bratislava you do not need to make a big investment. Still you might need to buy an extra sleeping bag or even a bed.
Before hitting the shops you might want to check if nobody is selling some stuff. Some foreigners are leaving the city and they want to get rid of the extra luggage fast. There are many good bargains in these groups.

In an effort to know and help each other, foreigners have created a few groups where they ask or provide information on different topics. You can also find sales posts but they are very general.
These Facebook groups might be of real help when looking for information. Always have in mind that there is no expert and not everybody is genuine.
